Is everything created in Shaggy's mind?


Some fans theorize that Shaggy is a drug-addicted loner who is constantly bullied by the other students at school.

Those fans point out,
  • that he imagines a talking dog named Scooby in his psyche for his loneliness,
  • that he thinks of Daphne, Velma, and Freddy as his friends, who constantly bully him at school;
  • That he engages in various adventures in his psyche with his friends.


The reasons given by fans for this opinion are;

1. That a school smart character like Velma has no chance of being friends with someone like Shaggy

2. That a popular character at school like Daphne doesn't even want to talk to an idiot like Shaggy

3. That someone with great leadership qualities like Freddie can't be friends with Shaggy.



However, these are just fan theories.
